Rice Flour is made from finely milled rice and is a common substitute for wheat flour. It is white with a neutral flavour and is gluten free.

Rice Flour can be used in place of wheat flour in many recipes. Because of the lack of gluten tapioca starch or potato starch may be added to provide elasticity.

Rice flour is used to make sweet and savoury cakes, pastries, pancakes, pasta and noodles. Make delicious Rice Flour tempura batters for frying vegetables and chicken. Coat food with Rice Flour before frying to give it extra crunch. Use Rice Flour as a thickener in stews and casseroles.

Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
