Paprika is a spice made from ground, dried fruits of Capsicum annuum, either bell pepper or chili pepper varieties or mixtures of both. Paprika is often associated with Hungary, as it is commonplace in Hungarian cuisine. Smoked Paprika is made from smoke-dried chili peppers that were dried over an oak fire before being ground into a powder.

Smoked Paprika is often called pimenton or smoked Spanish paprika and is a lovely deep red colour. Smoked Paprika has a rich, smoky flavour.

Uses:
Smoked Paprika is delicious on roast vegetable, in hearty meat dishes and stews. It is used in meat rubs. Add Smoked Paprika to eggs for a delectable breakfast. Smoked Paprika is an essential ingredient in paella and chorizo sausages.
