Green Matcha Tea

Green Tea Matcha is a Green Tea extract. The health benefits of matcha tea exceed those of green tea because when you drink matcha you ingest the whole leaf, not just the brewed water. One glass of matcha is the equivalent of 10 glasses of green tea in terms of its nutritional value and antioxidant content.

The antioxidants may lower blood pressure, decrease the risk of heart disease and improve digestion.

1.5 teaspoon of matcha powder per cup, or to taste. Pour hot (80C) water into a bowl. Add matcha powder and whisk well, preferably using a Chasen (a traditional bamboo whisk). Drink from the bowl or transfer tea to a cup. Matcha powder may be sieved to avoid lumps.

Uses:
Serve hot or as an iced tea and add honey or sugar as desired. Use in a chia pudding, milk latte or add to your green smoothie.
