Our Organic Brown Rice is sustainable Australian brown rice grown in NSW.
Brown Rice is better nutritionally than white rice as it is the whole rice grain and retains the nutritious bran and germ layer. Brown rice has a lovely chewy texture and a slightly nutty flavour.
Brown rice takes longer to cook than white rice, up to 45 minutes.

Uses:
Replace white rice with tasty Organic Brown Rice as a side dish for your curries, meat and chicken casseroles and stews. Organic Brown Rice is delicious in rice salads, rice pilaf, rice pudding, rice bowls and fried rice. For extra flavour toast the rice in butter or olive oil before cooking. Try adding thyme to the cooking water or replace the cooking water with stock.
