Millet tastes a little like corn and is slightly sweet. It is a gluten free seed which can be cooked like rice. Millet cooks in around 30 minutes and is a great stand by for a quick dinner.
Millet can be lightly toasted before cooking. This gives it a delicious subtle nutty flavour.
Millet is high in protein, fibre and antioxidants.
Uses:
Millet can be served with roasted vegetables, curries and stews. Toss millet in a salad. Add Millet to grain bread.
