Lupins
Lupins
Lupins or lupini beans are a pale-yellow legume and have been a part of the cuisines of the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern regions for millennia. Often eaten as a pickled snack.
Lupins have a fairly neutral flavour and tend to absorb the flavour of other foods.
Lupins are rich in plant protein and fibre. They have low levels of carbohydrate, contain “good” fats, antioxidants and many essential minerals.
