Garlic Powder is made from dehydrated garlic and enhances flavour in cooking. The flavour of garlic powder is more subtle than fresh garlic.
¼ - ½ teaspoon garlic powder = 1 garlic clove.
Uses:
Garlic powder can be used as a substitute for fresh garlic. It is less likely to burn than fresh garlic and is therefore ideal to season food before barbecuing, grilling or frying. Sprinkle it over roast vegetables or add to flour when dusting chicken and meat. Garlic powder adds a depth of flavour when added to rubs and marinades.
