Mustard Seeds, Brown Organic

Brown Mustard Seeds are the small round seeds from Brassica Juncea, a mustard plant variety. The seeds are used in a lot of Indian dishes and add crunch, aroma and a pungent spiciness. The Brown Mustard Seeds are slightly hotter than the yellow mustard seeds.

To release the flavour and fragrance dry roast the seeds or sauté in oil until they start to pop.  

Uses:
Brown Mustard Seeds can be made into mustard and are an essential ingredient in many sauce and pickling recipes. The seeds are used to make tasty meat and vegan curries, added to salad dressings and used in rubs and marinades.
