Wild Black Rice has a delicious roasted flavour, nutty texture and is an exotic deep black when cooked.
Wild Black Rice is not a true rice, it comes from a species of grass. It is prepared in the same was as white or brown rice but will take longer to cook.
Wild rice is relatively high in protein and is gluten free.
Uses:
Our yummy, enticing Wild Black Rice can be used as a side dish instead of conventional white or brown rice. Add to soups, stews, casseroles, salad and pilaf.
