Sushi Rice is a Japanese style short grained rice. The cooked rice is sticky and has a chewy texture, perfect for making sushi. Sushi Rice has a sweet nutty flavour.

Sushi Rice is the only type of rice used to make sushi. The cooked rice is flavoured with rice vinegar, white sugar and salt.  

Uses:
Sushi Rice is of course a key ingredient in sushi however it does have other uses. Sushi rice makes a delicious rice bowl. It is used in stuffing, rice balls and dumplings. Sushi Rice is an excellent choice for sweet sticky rice desserts.
