Steel Cut Oats are less processed than rolled or quick oats. They have a chewier texture and a nutty flavour.
Steel cut oats take 15 – 40 minutes to cook however soaking overnight will decrease the cooking time.
Oats are super healthy and tasty! They are a good source of vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants. When compared to rolled oats, steel cut oats are slightly higher in fibre and have a lower glycaemic index.
Uses:
Steel Cut Oats superbly creamy and delicious. Try toasting them in coconut oil before cooking. Steel oats re-heat well so you can make a batch that lasts a few days.
